Patron of The Hunger Project
Rod Natkiel has worked in the entertainment industry for 30 years, both in the theatre and broadcasting. Amongst his many credits are producing and directing “The Krypton Factor” in its most successful three years ever and launching ITV’s longest running children’s drama series, “Children’s Ward”. A former Head of BBC Birmingham’s network TV and Radio output for seven years, the substantial portfolio of programming for which he was responsible there ranged from “Top Gear” to a large drama output including “Dalziel and Pascoe”, “Dangerfield” and “Martin Chuzzelwit” – and of course “The Archers”. His awards as a Director and Writer include a BAFTA.
He set up his own production company, RNA (Rod Natkiel Associates Ltd.) in 2000, and the company has earned a highly respected reputation and substantial and impressive client roster for its work throughout the UK and abroad in both event and media production. Both Rod and RNA have always been extremely active and supportive in the charity sector.
Rod says, “I am immensely proud to have become a patron of The Hunger Project UK. The energy with which this organisation is being led, its ‘big thinking’ and its commitment to achieving hugely important and practical results around the world are all incredibly exciting and I shall be very pleased if I can, in some way, help the charity reach its goals.”
