World Hunger Day 2011 Briefing – Event Closed

Led by the UK arm of The Hunger Project, the briefing featured inspiring leaders from The Hunger Project in Africa, South Asia and Latin America, who shared their direct experience of mobilising communities at the grassroots level to end their own hunger and meet their basic needs.

Dionne Warwick & Friends Concert - Event Closed
Sunday 9 January 2011 – The Apollo Victoria Theatre, London
The Ambassador Theatre Group kindly donated London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre to host an incredible concert to raise awareness and funds for The Hunger Project’s programmes on the very first World Hunger Day.
The concert starred the legendary Dionne Warwick; Multi-Grammy Award Winner, Natalie Cole; The First Lady of Musical Theatre, Elaine Paige; International Opera Star, Simon Keenlyside; The UK’s Queen of Soul, Mica Paris; The Royal Ballet’s, Steven McRae; the incredible voices of the London Community Gospel Choir; Louise Dearman and Rachel Tucker from West End Musical, Wicked; Jazz Singer Jumoké Fashola, singer/songwriter, David Elliott and all were supported by the full orchestra of the Southbank Sinfonia.
